About Me:
Hi, I’m James, owner of Spray Tech Roofing Co. I’ve lived and worked in a small town my whole life, and I’ve always been the kind of guy who likes to figure things out and fix what needs fixing. For over 25 years, I worked as a car mechanic, and over the years I’ve also built a few rental houses and taken on all kinds of handyman projects.
I wear a lot of hats, but no matter what I’m working on, I believe in being fair, honest, and doing the job right. With Spray Tech Roofing Co., I’m proud to offer Conklin roofing products that stand the test of time and service you can count on.
About Conklin:
Conklin Roofing Systems pioneered the white, reflective roof coating industry when it introduced Rapid Roof®, the first acrylic roof coating, in June 1977. This innovation, which began with a test batch of barn paint, revolutionized the commercial roofing industry—previously dominated by hot tar and gravel systems—by offering an energy-efficient, durable alternative that reflected the sun's heat. This initial success led to the development of other products like Kwik Kaulk and the creation of Conklin's first roofing system, the MR System, built on the ingenuity of early distributors. After more than 45 years and over one billion square feet of product applied across America, Conklin remains committed to manufacturing high-quality, American-made products, never sacrificing quality, and has positively impacted the lives and businesses of countless contractors.

The Conklin MR System for Metal Roofs is a complete restoration and waterproofing process designed to save money and extend the life of an existing metal roof by restoring it instead of replacing it. This system inhibits rust, stops leaks primarily at seams and fasteners with fabric reinforcement and premium caulking, and provides an energy-efficient, long-lasting finish. By reflecting up to 85% of the sun's UV energy, the highly reflective, ENERGY STAR-rated coatings drastically reduce cooling costs and minimize the destructive thermal shock that causes expansion and contraction in metal roofs. The application process involves power washing, priming with Encase® Metal Primer, sealing fasteners with Kwik Kaulk, reinforcing seams with fabric and base coat, and then sealing the entire roof with one of Conklin's approved acrylic coatings, which include Benchmark, Rapid Roof III®, PUMA® XL, Rapid Roof HV, or Equinox®. Conklin Roofing Systems have been tested, proven, and trusted since 1977, offering affordable, quality solutions that can often be budget-expensed as maintenance rather than a capital expenditure, with non-prorated and renewable limited warranties available up to 20 years.
The Affinity system includes the highly reflective, durable Affinity Top Coat (an aliphatic polyurethane) and Affinity Base Coat (an aromatic polyurethane), which together, with the required Affinity Primer for EPDM and TPO substrates, can offer a limited warranty up to 25 years on various roof types.
Affinity Urethane Coating System: This is a high-value system for commercial roofing projects, noted for its extreme durability, longevity, and user-friendly nature in a wide range of weather conditions.

The Conklin Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System is a durable, lightweight, and energy-efficient solution that utilizes a seamless acrylic coating with an embedded tough, flexible fabric to waterproof and strengthen new or existing roofs, resisting splitting and rupturing. This system, which can be applied over many substrates including EPDM, metal, and concrete, stops leaks, offers wind and hail protection, and its highly reflective white surface reflects 85% of the sun's heat, potentially lowering air conditioning costs by up to 30%, which can lead to a quick return on investment. The system also offers long-term value, as the roof can be renewed with simple recoats, eliminating the need for expensive future tear-offs, and Conklin offers limited warranties for acrylic coating systems up to 20 years upon approval.
